Damed food from Mercado Central. Tobi is lying in bed and I'm not really well either... Beth is out and looking at the Vergel canyon.
Around evening I still went out for a Pizza, yummy.
Tobi was doing worse by the minute. Around 11:00 p.m. we were off to the hopital. There was a sign at the gate saying: "In case of emergency call the following number..." So there we were with our cell phones and all our money spent on a data budget and none on voice minutes... Stupid... Tobi was looking for windows with light in them and knocking on doors. Three times is a charm and the door was opened at the third house. After some explainations the woman called the number. Apparently it wasn't easy peasy so she accompanied us to the doctor. Digestion problems seem to be very common here and 20 Bolivianos later Tobi had some Antibiotics in his hand and we were on our way back to the hostel.
I urgently need to recharge my prepaid card so that when the next emergency comes along I can make a call...

Thanks to the Antibiotics Tobi is doing better today. So around 07:00 a.m. we're on the way to the office of the park rangers. The entrance fee is Bs 100,- for four days. The tours cost extra and you always have to hire a ranger. The costs are fixed and it doesn't matter if you're alone or six people. So every morning tourists meet at the rangers office to see who wants to do which tour. Most times there are 5 or 6 people who want to do the same tour and then split the costs. For us we're going to visit Ciudad de Itas and the cave of Humajalanta.
After 1.5h with 8 people in an old Mitsubishi Montero we arrived at Ciudad de Itas and many animals in stone :)
After that we went to the caves of Ciudad de Itas.
All over the place we saw Piscachus running around :)
After another 30 minutes in the Montero and another 15 minutes by foot we came to the cave of Humajalanta where we got helmets and lamps.
After a really big entrance it got sporty and we had to climb down some feet. Then came the first narrow passage.
Followed by some more climbing.
Then it got really tight :D Nothing for people on the heavy side or with claustrophobia...
Also on the way back there were some narrow passages.
And then my camera dropped out of my pocket!!! Lucky me it didn't land in the water but stopped on a rocky ledge, wow! Brocken :'( The lense doesn't extend any more but the electronics seem to be working. Doesn't matter, I'll look after it in Cochabamba because there's no place in Torotoro.

Today our plan was to go to Vergel, the canyon of Torotoro. We were passing by the town square which looked like from the movie Jurasic Park. Even town hall looked the part...
But shortly after we saw this birds tracks!
Also the tracks of huge Sauropods were visible. Unfortunately they are being detroyed by erosion piece by piece.
Here's a view of Torotoro.
Then we came to the view point for the canyon...
Before descending the 300m into the canyon viy stairs.
All in all a very interesting tour. However, our guide wanted to be back at 01:00 p.m. to get another group so her pace was quite high.
Because we were back early we decided to drive to Cochabamba the same day where we arrived after a 5h drive.
